WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert will announce the draft picks live on ESPN with exclusive coverage beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET. The draft, along with the WNBA Countdown Presented by Google (ESPN, 7 p.m. ET) will also be available live on the ESPN App.

Top prospects will take part live as WNBA Draft 2024 presented by State Farm moves from Manhattan to the Brooklyn borough of New York City where BAM has been the home to world-renowned productions in theatre, dance, music, opera, film and more for over 160 years, showcasing the work of emerging artists and modern masters.

This marks the first time the draft will be a seated event with fans in attendance since the 2014-16 drafts were held at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. Tickets will be made available to approximately 1,000 fans and will go on sale on March 7. More information on ticket packages for WNBA Draft 2024 presented by State Farm will be available on wnbaexperiences.com in March.

“We are focused on creating elevated events that WNBA fans won’t want to miss, at a time when the energy for the WNBA has never been higher,” said WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert. “Last season resulted in our most-watched-regular season in over two decades, our highest total attendance in 13 years and set record figures across WNBA digital and social platforms. As the official start to the WNBA season, we knew the WNBA Draft 2024 presented by State Farm should be transformed into a larger, fan-focused event to celebrate the incredible talent set to enter the draft. With the continued support of ESPN, State Farm, and associate partner U.S. Bank, we anticipate hosting a truly memorable evening for WNBA teams and fans and, of course, for the immensely talented athletes for whom this night represents the realization of a dream come true and the commencement of the next phase of their basketball journey.”

The formal tip-off of draft night festivities will take place when the invited draft prospects showcase their personalities and unique fashion styles on the WNBA’s iconic “Orange Carpet” as they prepare for this life-altering moment. Earlier that day, draft prospects will visit the iconic Empire State Building for a lighting ceremony to celebrate the WNBA Draft 2024 presented by State Farm.

WNBA social channels, the WNBA App and wnba.com will be the destination point for fans seeking wall to wall coverage leading up to and through the WNBA Draft 2024 presented by State Farm. WNBA social and digital content will feature draftee storytelling, profiles of draft prospects, breaking news, and thoughts on what to watch for on draft night, as well as an array of short form videos, analysis, written features, stats and highlights.

“Draft Central,” launching on wnba.com in March, will feature the return of “Phenom Files,” where WNBA experts will break down the on-court skill sets of key prospects and analyze how those will translate to the WNBA. “Draft Central” also will present draft profiles on all 12 WNBA teams, including the latest news surrounding each team, their transactions, and projected picks. On the day of the WNBA Draft 2024 presented by State Farm, the WNBA App, WNBA social and “Draft Central” will feature live, up-to-the-minute updates, an interactive Draft Board, coverage of all draft-related events and more.
