DETROIT (May 6, 2024) – The Rocket Mortgage Classic today announced daily grounds tickets and passes to hospitality venues are now on sale at RocketMortgageClassic.com, where spectators can purchase packages to enjoy Detroit’s PGA TOUR event when the tournament is held for the sixth year at Detroit Golf Club from June 25-30. Fans can choose from a variety of ticket options that offer front row seats to some of the best professional golfers in the world, an experience unique to the sport of golf and fun for attendees of all ages.
“The Rocket Mortgage Classic is more than just a golf tournament, it’s a celebration of community, innovation and the spirit of competition,” said Varun Krishna, CEO of Rocket
Mortgage. “The event is a testament to our passion for making every experience with Rocket Mortgage unforgettable and our commitment to making a positive impact for Detroiters through our “Changing the Course” initiative. We’ve made tremendous strides over
the last five years and are thrilled to continue impacting the outcome in our city.”
The tournament also announced that fan favorite and reigning champion Rickie Fowler will return to defend his title after winning in dramatic fashion last summer. Joining Fowler
on the list of early player commitments are PGA TOUR stars Tom Kim and Will Zalatoris.
“We are excited to welcome fans back to the Rocket Mortgage Classic this summer. It will be amazing to have Rickie join us again after the showstopping performance he put on
during Sunday’s final round last year, along with some other top names,” said Jason Langwell, Executive Director of the Rocket Mortgage Classic. “We are expecting another terrific field, and the momentum will only continue to grow as we look forward to our
sixth tournament right here in the heart of Detroit. It’s hard to believe we’re just 50 days away from opening our gates to fans, and we encourage everyone to get their tickets early.”
Last year, Fowler birdied the 18th
hole on Sunday to force a three-way playoff with Collin Morikawa and Adam Hadwin, then birdied the first playoff hole to secure his first PGA TOUR victory in more than four years. In regulation, his 145-yard approach shot landed inside three feet for an easy
birdie putt on the final hole. After starting the playoff with an errant tee shot into the gallery along the right side of the fairway, he muscled an iron to the middle of the green, then drained the 12-foot putt and looked to the sky as he celebrated while
a boisterous Sunday afternoon crowd chanted his name.
“I was kind of just still and quiet and everyone was going crazy around me,” Fowler said shortly after wrapping up his sixth career PGA TOUR title. “It was a nice moment just
to kind of feel like the weight on my shoulders was finally off.”
The initial player commitments for the Rocket Mortgage Classic are sure to provide Detroit fans with many highlights this summer:
·
Rickie Fowler
– A six-time PGA TOUR winner, Fowler registered eight top-10 finishes last season. He has played on five Ryder Cup teams, appeared in three Presidents Cups
and represented the United States in the 2016 Olympic Games. Fowler has played in the Rocket Mortgage Classic each year, with two top-12 finishes, including his victory last year.
·
Tom Kim –
Kim is already a three-time PGA TOUR winner before his 22nd
birthday. The South Korea native was a member of the International team at the 2022 Presidents Cup, and last season finished top 10 in both the U.S. Open and The Open Championship. In his Rocket Mortgage Classic debut in 2022, he finished seventh.
·
Will Zalatoris
– Zalatoris returned from a back injury that cut short his 2023 season and has already secured three top-10 finishes this season, including a T9 at The Masters.
Zalatoris has performed exceptionally well in major championships throughout his career, with seven top-10 finishes in 10 starts.

Way Award, recognizing the tournament that excels in diversity, inclusion and social responsibility programs that promote equity, fairness, respect
and openness in its community. Whether it be by fostering a tournament culture of inclusiveness, partnering with diverse charitable partners or community engagement around under-represented and under-served groups, the award highlights the best moments, gestures,
