Hear Media caught up with the guys from Faster Pussycat (who will take the M3 stage on Sunday) while they are out the road with their 2024 Spring tour. This being a monumental 15th year for M3, I asked the guys what was their favorite memory from playing previous M3 Festivals? Chad Stewart (Fasters long time drummer ) said, “ M3 is special to us because we get to see our friends in other bands that we don't always get to see out on the road. It’s a great place to reconnect.” He went on to tell me, “I will always remember the M3 that Taime (their lead vocalist and founding member of the band) got sick, and we had to pull a show together with him, last minuet. We asked a bunch of friends from other bands to step in and help, which they all did. We made something special, that I think the fans really enjoyed, under the circumstance.” M3 has become not only a fun weekend of great music but to the fans, it is a place for to reconnect as well. M3 fans come from 6 continents, 30 countries and every state. I asked Fasters guitarist Sam Bam Koltun to share his favorite memory of M3 as well, he said “The whole band is really looking forward to playing M3 again!” He laughed and continued, “ I remember I saw Faster play in their pajamas at 11:00am at the first M3 festival that I was at. I was there playing with another artist back in 2016. Came back to M3 in 2021 as a member of Faster Pussycat, and Im super excited to be part of the festival this year in 2024.”
M3 has transcended beyond just a festival it’s an immersive ’80s arena rock experience. Drawing fervent fans from across the globe, M3 has become an annual pilgrimage for those who grew up with ’80s rock, now hailed as the “new classic rock,” and for younger generations who revel in the excitement of the glam metal era.
